A mixed media piece with hand embroidery.
The background is “faux leather” made by bonding tissue paper onto muslin to give it wet strength and painted.
The pots are applied and of either painted calico or reversed tomato puree tubes. The stitching is using recognisable canvas stitches, Norfolk and Cushion.

Pouring Waves

Black even weave cotton background with organza layers. Metal thread hand stitching with couching and running stitches.

The jug is applied batik fabric with metal thread work.
